For many families, Elf on the Shelf is part of their annual holiday tradition. Perched on the mantle, the Elf watches over the children of the family and reports back to Santa Claus each night. However, the Elf does tend to become bored with the same seat night after night, so children awake each December morning in delight to find him in different places around the house, doing funny, wacky or outrageous things. Some very clever Elf families shared hilarious pictures of their little Elf's antics.
