I admit, I’m as guilty as the next mom in the preschool pickup line of wearing a messy mom ponytail day in and day out! However, every now and then I do try something new. I feel I owe it to myself to actually do my ‘do!

Woman with beach wavesOn day-old hair: Use a salt spray

Nothing can emulate true beach waves. You know, the kind you get when you've been lounging on your towel all day, the sea breeze blowing through your hair. That's because of the salt water! So the next best thing to true beach hair is to grab a salt spray such as Beach Blow Texturizing Spray. While a product like Wonder Waves helps wet hair move into a natural wave, I've found that Beach Blow Texturizing Spray works best on dry hair. Spray it on yesterday's curls, scrunch and go -- or lightly mist straight hair with water, tousle, spray on Beach Blow Texturizing Spray and allow to dry. You get beach waves without the stiff, sticky feeling (or the sunburn!).

Style Secret^Spray your hair with Beach Blow Texturizing spray, then try a sock bun for waves made while you sleep.

Love this, Kristin. I've been so envious of everyone I see with gorgeous beach waves. I'm going to lock myself in the bathroom this weekend and see if I can replicate this. Thanks!
