Who says all martinis have to be proper and sophisticated? This Mike and Ike candy martini will have your inner-child begging for more. Mason jars are the perfect match to create Mike and Ike original fruit flavor (cherry, lime, strawberry, orange and lemon) infused vodka that not only taste scrumptious but also look pretty on the counter!

Infusing vodka is really quite simple and the outcome is delicious. The best part about infusing your own vodka? You don't have to use expensive vodka to achieve great results. A mid-range vodka such as Stoli, ABSOLUT or SKYY is just fine.

Mike and Ike infused vodka

Ingredients:

  • 2 boxes Mike and Ike candy
  • 1 (1.75) liter bottle of vodka
  • 5 wide-mouth pint Mason jars

Directions:

  1. Separate the flavors of the two boxes of Mike and Ike candies by color. There will be about 50 candies of each color. Add all of the same color into the five individual Mason jars.
  2. Pour 1 cup of vodka over the candies in each jar. Cover the jars with lids and leave on the counter for five days. (I know... painful!)
  3. On day six, strain the vodka and discard the white center of the candy. Don't bother trying the leftover candy pieces -- they don't taste good! Discard the white candy center and return the now beautifully colored vodka to the Mason jar.
  4. Store in the refrigerator.

This candy infused vodka is delicious all on its own or can be used to create fun cocktails!
