Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Measure 1/2 cup of each cake mix into three separate storage bags.
  2. In a microwavable bowl, melt the baking squares or candy melts 30 seconds at a time. Stir the squares between each 30-second melting time, until the chocolate is smooth.
  3. If you're using baking squares, consider using a little food coloring to brighten the colors in the mix. A good rule of thumb is one drop of food coloring per baking square to make light, spring colors.
  4. Pour 1/3 of the Rice Chex into a large bowl (this will be approximately three generous cups).
  5. Drizzle 1/3 of the melted baking squares over the cereal and stir the mixture until the Chex is coated.
  6. Pour the coated cereal into one of the storage bags filled with the cake mix. Close the bag and shake it thoroughly until the Chex is coated with the cake mix.
  7. Repeat this process for all three kinds of cake mix, each in their own bag.
  8. Stir all of the coated cereal and the spring chocolate eggs together and your snack mix is ready!
  9. Store your spring mix in a closed storage bag or a sealed storage container.
